Clacky Buttom-Out

Hey guys,

I've got kind of an issue with my Ducky Shine 3 with thick PBT's: The buttom-out sound ist really loud and clacky. I dont like it. And for the spacebar, it even got worse with the PBT keys.
I tried a Majestouch 2 once and it was quieter and less of a sharp clacky sound. Got the Ducky nevertheless because the switches' batch seemed better to me. MX Blue by the way.

Anyone got experiences with trying to damp the buttom out (no O-ring or dampener pads, don't like the less key travel)? Maybe with a matt below the board or something? What kind of material should work?

I think having matt below and applying o-rings would help a great deal with the noise.

I don´t have o-rings on my mx board, but I do use a ultra-wide corsair matt under all my boards and it silences them quite a bit.

In addition to adding a mat or mousepad underneath, you can add drawer liner between your pcb and case.

Fohat.digs sells these EPDM mats I like. Drawer liner i just bought at target in the kitchen section for $2 a roll.

How thick should that EPDM mat be like? They offer 1mm-10mm here (Germany).

Well I bought an EPDM mat of 5mm strengh. It's a noticeable  improvement but I wouldn't exactly recommand it since I paid 35€ for 1m².
