Next gaming board I design I'll throw in a 5 Cent keystopper too.
Being a marketing guy for a gaming company must be so easy. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
Now the guy that thought of the Red ESC key - that guy deserves a raise!
You get two types of pc gamers. You have to hobbyist, which buys everything despite how good it is. This is also the same guy who fancies himself as knowing computer hardware, but then will buy a pre-assembled Alienware "because I just like it to work with no hassles." (excuse)
Then you have the someone who spends a lot of time on a computer in general, and gaming is where he spends most of that time. These are the guys that research products and benchmarks, buy dual core processors, and old MS Optical 1.1 mice, and overclock their cpu ram and graphics card and turn off all fancy graphics in games to eek out a couple more fps
Fata1ty's garbage didn't sell like Creative and Abit suspected it would...you get a lot of picky guys with a broad variety of merchandise and the technical know-how and understanding of Tomshardware and Anandtech reviews to make wise decisions. I would imagine someone like that is like any avid computer user, in tune to their needs for what they want in a computer, and willing to cut corners in departments where it doesn't matter (like a case) to spend more money on a cpu or gpu.
That said, if Dharma was marketing it's keyboard as a "gamer keyboard" it did what most manufacturers did. They built something awful, put a high sticker price on it and tried to pump its value, and it's resolution is like most "gamer" stuff for pc's.
