What are these...?
« on: Sun, 31 May 2009, 17:47:38 »
I was looking for a ModelM but came across these:
Dell AT102W
Keytronic KT2001PS2SV
DGC F7B032124

Does anyone knows anything about these keyboards?
I haven't seen them on pic or real life, could they be good?
It\'s the glass pipe fallacy. You can only believe that if you\'re on crack.

The AT102W uses (real, complicated) black alps, it's a very nice keyboard. I don't know anything about the other two.
Owned: Raptor-Gaming K1 (linear MX)(Broken), IBM Model M UK, Dell AT102W, Left-handed keyboard with Type 1 Simplified Alps.

The Dells are quite popular around these parts (the 102W is the UK version, if you search for the AT101W you'll find a good deal of information). They use black Alps switches which are pretty nice, but I find them to be quite stiff so they wear my arm out after a while. That said, maybe I need to break my one in a bit more. (the keyboard, not my arm :D)

Thanks for the input, I e-mailed the seller and said I was intrested in the dell board. I'm willing to pay up to 20 USD. Lets see what he has to say.
I'm curious in the two other KB's, I hope I'll get a chance in handeling those other two.

We've got a UK AT102W on ebay US and a US AT101W on ebay UK? Did somebody forget to inform me about the international through the looking glass week?

That keytronic looks like the first Das... I'd say it's probably a rubber dome, with weighted keys in different spots.

I got a price for the DELL board, almost 4 USD. Is that to much? :D

Jump on it.  You won't find a better 'board for the price.  As a matter  of fact, of all the keyboards I have, the Dell is one of my favorites.

Nice find. I haven't been able to grab an Alps keyboard yet. I don't really know if I want to though, considering they're generally not very compact from what I've seen. Maybe I could use one at work, or my workshop when I eventually get that set up. Plenty of room there.
