Jameco JE1015 and Focus 5001 ($95+post BIN) ALPS?

No clue if the price is reasonable. Saw something saying the Jameco would be blue ALPS but not Monterey, I am sure others will know more.

The AT layout board looks like blue Alps, and the other should be either white Alps or some Alps clone switch.

The seller cut the price down to $100 shipped BIN.

Since the ebay images will inevitably vanish, here are a couple imgur versions:

And here’s what looks like an archived 4chan thread about a similar Jameco board from 2011:

Thank guys!

Who bought these?

I did. I thought I replied with a post thanking the finders but I guess I imagined it.

I initially had interest in these when it was 1st posted by rab but the end label of the jameco reading "Manufactured by Monterey International Corp" made me suspect of it having Monterey blues.
But then your reply renewed my interest in it and I found this thread:
http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=46606.0 which confirmed that Monterey did make boards with complicated blues and what was posted in the above provided 4chan thread about it from '11.

Also, I didn't win the NIB focus 5001 from awhile back, so I guess I'll take the one in the lot as a consolation.

The keyboard gods really do giveth and taketh away.

The focus 5001 was DOA with controller problems that causes it to work sporadically.

But that was all made up for with this:

Keys feel minty and works too.

Awesome, congrats. What do you plan on doing with it? Harvesting or keeping as-is?

It'd be a shame to harvest it, it's so darn close to new. There's no shine on it whatsoever, not even the spacebar.

The 5001 on the other hand, might be harvested for its whites if I can't get the controller to work.
~~~Speaking of the 5001, it is different, seems to be an uncommon revision that doesn't have the 2 dip switches. Instead it has a switch under the logo plate for just either XT or AT.
