H-Hello. . .
« on: Fri, 05 September 2014, 21:47:08 »
Hello GeekHack,

I've been lurking for the better part of a year. It all started with a Filco Majestouch2 TKL ninja with MX browns . . .
I told myself at the time I would only ever need one keyboard; and so recently I've bought myself a KBPv60mini with MX greens "for writing".
Now i find myself looking at all the different and exotic keycap sets from the groupbuys here, and the metal 60% cases. Oh, and I've also picked up a metal EVA cap.

I guess what I'm trying to say is somehow I've become one of you before i even realized it was happening, so i figured I might as well sign up and join in the discussion!

:)

What a great board to start out with! Welcome and sorry for the loss. Of all your money.

Welcome to Geekhack!

I sometimes wonder why people lurk for so long :p

MX greens are nice!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Welcome to the forums fellow newbie though not as newbie as I!  I haven't been here very long but I'm about to make my first purchase soon.  :D  I also believe that I shall be throwing wallet at other keyboards.  Poor wallet.

Yea, make sure you don't go too middle of the road for your first board or you will buy a second soon after!  :p

That's pretty much inevitable anyway :p

Very few people can stop at just one keyboard :))
