TKL Keyboards with Cable Connectors on the Rear of the Case?
« on: Wed, 24 September 2014, 20:03:47 »
Which TKL keyboards with detachable cables have their cable connector on the rear of the case instead of underneath the case in a recessed area with cable management?

I frequently detach my keyboard, leaving the cable connected to my USB hub. I find it cumbersome to reconnect the cable when the connector is located on the underside of the case in a recessed area. I much prefer having the cable connector on the back of the case.

This is something I appreciate about the CM Novatouch -- the connector receptacle is on the rear of the case, albeit on the right side. Although I prefer the connection on the left or center, I would rather have it on the "wrong" side than to fight with a hard-to-access connector on the bottom of the case. Moreover, cable management channels in the case might seem like a nice idea, but securing the cable into a channel behind the retaining nibs makes things all the more difficult when you want to unplug the keyboard.

In any event, this post is not intended to spark debate about the pros or cons of having a cable connector on the rear of the case vs underneath the case. Instead, I am interested in knowing which brands and models of TKL keyboards with detachable cables have the cable connector on the rear of the case.

Thanks!

PLU M87 is one of the few TKL boards I found with it. For smaller layouts, the Leopold FC660 series uses it, and so does the MiniLA (and HHKB but hehe).
