My Ducky DK2108LS Died:(, any suggestions on salvaging?
« on: Sat, 27 September 2014, 21:59:25 »
Hi I new here,

I don't know if this belongs in this section, if it doesn't, please move thread to relevant section.

My one year old Ducky DK2108LS decided to stop working (num lock, scroll lock and cap lock blinks several times and than switches off) after I unplugged it to clean my PC case. Windows is able to identify a good connection, but it shows up as an unspecified device. I have tried on three other computers (Mac including) and it appears to show the same symptoms.

Has anyone ever had this problem with their Ducky/Keyboard in general?

If indeed my Ducky died, I plan on keeping the switches, casing, removing the pcb and then hand wiring the switches to a teensy 3.1, in essence revive da Ducky. Is this a good idea? Or is there another way I can reuse the parts of the Ducky?

Any suggestions or idea are welcome.

Bailey:)

Don't worry about the multi post...
It's been happening lately.... Before you make a new thread again, just check in the section you posted in, 10/10 times it will be there.
As for your Ducky... Try with a different cable, reset the board, not sure if it's like the shine where you press both win buttons at the same time?

Thanks for the reply.

I don't think there is a reset feature for this ducky.

I have used a multimeter to check the usb cable and it seems to be fine. The caplock, num lock and scroll lock keys light up with no response from the keyboard to PC.
