What about a data locker inside a keyboard? Either for security, or privacy.
I thought about doing it two ways:
The simplest would be to integrate a key-lock into the case of the keyboard that would activate an internal thumb-drive. ( I would have a USB hub built in, and then the key would connect a thumb drive to the hub) this would give you the ability to turn it on and off so that only the one with the key would have access to whatever was on the flash drive.
Ofcourse someone could just smash the keyboard and pull the thumb drive out, but I am thinking in an office environment where you are simply trying to keep files from falling into the hands of prying co-workers or something similar.
The second idea is to have a secret key combination that would switch the data locker on, and the same combination would shut it off. The keyboard could look completely innocent, and push the key combination and you have access to the drive, and then switch it off, and no one would know it was even there.
Any thoughts?
