WTB: Buckling spring spacebar
« on: Wed, 15 October 2014, 03:03:00 »
Hey yall. I found an old decrepit condition Model M outside my university last year and was going to use it on a new computer build I had been pondering. Well I finally got around to building it today and hooked up the M regardless of not yet having cleaned it up at all and, what do ya know, it works like a charm! The case is all dirty and battered, th cabled is frayed so bad in so many places I thought for sure that would be the weak spot preventing me from using it but nope! These goddamn things really are bulletproof.

Anyways, so the only problem is the space was sticking somethin fierce. So I popped it off with a knife and... well, the stabilizer broke off the bar itself ;/

So, I am in need of a spacebar with a stabilizer in good condition that will fit a Model M. If anyone has an extra I would be most gracious if I could buy it off you!

Thanks guys!

- Cap

If you don't get a better source: http://pckeyboard.com/page/Buttons/SB

Maybe pick up some other stuff to lessen the impact of that shipping charge.

these are common. $3 from unicomp I believe. If you combine orders with other people the shipping will be cheaper.
