Poker 2 programming question
« on: Sat, 05 July 2014, 04:43:52 »
Got two questions about programming layer of Poker 2;
  • Is it possible to program media keys (play/pause, next/previous track) on poker 2 program layer (similar to scripts you can do in autohotkey)?
  • Also, anyone find it suitable to program a numpad somewhere on pn layer? If so, which keys would you choose to do so?
I think "J" being 4 on numpad is nice, having the tactile bump on "J".

bump.

Anyone with some experience on this matter?
I would really like to be able to use media keys without running Autohotkey,
since most games that use Punkbuster kick you for using Autohotkey.

Is it possible to program a stop/play on Poker PN layer? (my guess is no, but i have to ask).

Since you're using Windows, I'm not sure I can be of much help.
Poker II does allow for defining macros though. So if you can assign regular key-combos/bindings to the actions you want to perform, a macro might help you.

If you know Python or want to learn it, you might create some scripts that could perhaps be bound to custom keyboard shortcuts: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18112457/python-change-windows-7-master-volume

Good luck

Thanks for the input,
however I don't think I will be able to learn a programming code just to get media keys on Poker 2:)

Is there another software solution (that isn't banable like Autohotkey) in which i could get media keys working (stop/play, next/previous track).

Bumping this thread, because I recently got a Poker II and I don't want to use a program to do this (if I don't have to).

No, you can't program pause/start, next, previous since they are not present on any of the Poker II default layers. You can change or mute the volume, though.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.
