Hi Everyone

Currently I'm interested in to get a Topre keyboard - Realforce 87U Tenkeyless 55g
Just got one question about this:

Does it support N-Key rollover through USB? If not, how many keys rollover does it support?

Reason I need this function: I love play music games, such as O2Jam/DJMax/FreePiano etc, sometimes I need 10 keys register simultaneously.
So I always choose keyboard with this function(up-to 10 key rollover is fine to me, my PC doesn't support PS/2)

From their official webpage: https://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=topre_keyboards,rftenkeyless&pid=rf_se18t0
EliteKeyboard didn't mention anything about NKRO. I Emailed them but no feedback since then.

If anyone one have this keyboard, and could you please test here:
http://www.microsoft.com/appliedsciences/content/projects/KeyboardGhostingDemo.aspx

Simply mash your keyboard and see how many are green.

I'm new here and this is my first post, thank you for reading and help. :)

I have a RF 87ub 55g and it is currently my favorite keyboard.

I tried the rollover test with my RF 87ub 55g connected via USB, and with various combinations of regular keys being pressed 10 at a time, I get 6 green keys lighting up on the web site test. So, I suppose this indicates 6-key rollover on USB, which seems fairly standard.

BTW, I also happen to be testing a WASD V2 87 mx Brown keyboard at the moment, and when I tried it, I could only get 5 green keys to light up.

Same here. My 87U/55g keyboards had the same response as above. Six-key rollover with each  USB connections on either of my 87U keyboards. The 87U/55-gram keyboards are exceptional, so long you like the feel of Topre's 55g switches. I find this Topre switch outperforms, feel and responsiveness, Cherry MX Red/Brown/Blue/Clear/Black/Green and Buckling Spring (in all its iterations) switches. I still have a couple of Cherry MX-switch keyboards; and I like them. But, my 87U keyboards are my favored boards and my daily KBs. Not everyone on Geekhack likes Topre switches. It's a matter of personal preference.

Thanks for testing guys :)

6-key rollover on USB is fairly enough for daily tying, But I'm going to consider Novatouch TKL, which has NKRO and media function.

I prefer quiet and tactile switch and hate clicky sound, so I think Topre is the best choice for me, maybe MX clear suitable for me as well, haven't got chance to test it yet.

I had a chance to type on Topre switch not long ago in my friend's house and I definitely love it. I'll get one for sure before Christmas  :D

The Novatouch has 45g switches. The only 55g Topre is the Realforce.

I don't have a 45g to compare to, but I have the 55g RF and it's exceptional. If you game a lot though, I'd go for 45g probably. I've had a sore hand from FPS games after hours of gameplay.

As I mentioned, I got 6KRO using the MS site with my RF 87ub 55g. I got the same result with my IBM XT equipped with a Teensy and Soarer's Converter.

However, when I tested my Kul ES-87 mx red and WASD V2 87 mx brown, I got only 5KRO on both of these boards. Does anyone here know what is going on with this?

Does anyone really need more than 6kro, i mean you have one hand on mouse then all you have left is 5 fingers. And even if you were to play a game with both hands on keyboard, there's no way anyone is pressing simultaneosly

He said literally in the OP the kinds of games he plays where he needs to hit up to 10 keys at a time.

I swear that's a lot, no game would need a person to literally have all five fingers on the keyboard at any given time

I could see it with some rhythm games, esp ones that look at previous popular versions and go "Making it harder is better, right?"
