Greetings from Germany :)
« on: Fri, 21 November 2014, 18:36:11 »
Hi,

my name is Geroximo, I'm 23 years old, from Germany and I think I developed a new obsession  :)

Everything started with a QFR MX Black mainly for gaming. I put some O-Rings on it and it just felt awesome. I instantly fell in love with the TKL layout.
After a while i got used to it and wanted another board for typing. So there came the Poker II with PBT caps and MX Blues. I love it  :D The 60% layout is even better than the TKL.
Last but not least my brother gave his QPAD Mk 50 with MX Reds to me after he got himself a different keyboard.

Now I have 3 Mechanical Keyboards and I love them :)

There is just one problem:
It's very hard to get some high quality keycaps here in Germany. I literally cannot find a single retailer in Germany / Europe that sells Double Shots / Dyed or even PBT caps  :(
Hopefully I can meet other european members here, who are interested in a group buy, or maybe someone who could sell me a nice set of keycaps at a low price (shipping from U.S. to Germany alone costs alot)

So long ... best regards
Geroximo  :thumb:

BTW: How can I use these little pictures of the keyboards in my Signature?

Welcome to Geekhack!

There should be a GMK group buy coming up this week, so keep an eye out for that in the group buys sub-forum.

As for those Keyboard pixel art things...you can find it in the...umm...Keyboard pixel art things thread. :thumb:

Welcome to Geekhack!

Another Poker fan!  There are also a few other German members here - hopefully one of them can point you in the right direction.

PS. QFR MX black owner here too :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
