Hello from SPAIN [IBM Model M]
« on: Sat, 29 November 2014, 01:28:51 »
Hello greetings to the community. I read some articles and I loved it.
I have two IBM models and would like to use and customize.

Some guidance as to whether M models are authentic? What I have to look out for? The stickers do not match the interior, which is good?
Sorry for translation.

Hola, un saludo a la comunidad. He leído algunos artículos y me ha encantado.

Welcome to Geekhack!

There's a few members here who know a surprising amount about Model M keyboard - if the above didn't help, perhaps one of those members will step in.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
