Hi folks! Is there a thread dedicated to the Massdrop Granite Buy?

Massdrop delivered batches where several keycaps are missing, or are misprinted. I’d like to talk about this.

The granite set is from SP. They have sold sets from other manufacturers such as Ducky and Vortex as well.

Thanks. If this is so, then Signature Plastics has delivered crap again. Two guys, who already received their international kits, told me several keycaps are missing, and the legends on the keycap “,;”  are printed inverse.

SP may not have the best quality control, but it is important to consider the magnitude of the group buys they produce keycaps for. Sorting hundreds of different caps for hundreds, if not thousands, of orders can leave room for some error. Your friends can contact them and hopefully they will be able to get them sorted with the right caps.

Oh man, that's kinda ****ty :/. I hope you international guys can get that sorted out.

Signature Plastics, a company, which should have a huge experience in producing keycaps, and asking a high price for little bits of plastic fails again and again in so many ways:
   • nicks at the edge of keycaps
   • distorted keycaps (due to overheating)
   • crooked stems, resulting in keycaps not aligning well on the keyboard
   • off-centered legends
   • mirror-inverted legends
   • missing keycaps
   • sending wrong keycaps (due to confusion)
... and what not else. Just recap this. I ordered three times from them, and each time there was a different problem.

SP quality control can be hit or miss.  I had zero problems in the Midnight group buy, for example, and then a missing key and a few other legend issues in the Nuclear Data Green buy.  Any time there's been a problem they have always corrected their mistake(s) very quickly.  Their customer services makes up for any lack in the QA department.  You'll see.

It's not about the mistakes you make, but how you respond to them.

Massdrop sorted them and sent them out to you. That is where anyone with issues should be directing their problem. The order was for about 5,500 sets i think. It doesnt surprise me that there are some issues, that doesn't make it suck any less when its you. Regardless I think the right thing to do is give either company the opportunity to fix the problems as a first measure.
