I own a cherry mx blue razer blackwidow ultimate 2012 keyboard and overtime some of the keys have lost their tactility and clicking sound. Some people said that this could be be the result of dirt or other material lodged inside the keys themselves and they recommended that I thoroughly clean it from the inside to restore the original sound and tactility (correct me if I'm wrong here! I have no solid idea as to why a key may stop clicking/have no tactile feedback). However, I'm not sure how I could go about doing this. Is there anyway to remove each individual key switch from the keyboard without the de-soldering that is usually involved? Any help will be much appriciated!

well, first, try and remove the caps and clean up the dust. if that doesn't help, you would have to de-solder the switches, open the switches up and clean them one by one.

That's the only way

So there is no option to simply "pull out" the switch? I saw this video on youtube (
) where the switch was removed quite easily with a screwdriver. Could I do this in my case or does it only work with specific models?

you can't, the razer blackwidow should have a plate that holds the switch sides tight.

You could use compressed air or Isopropyl alcohol. Just depress the switch, put the little straw in the gap and spray a little in there.

Make sure to blow a bit inside there as well to make sure the alcohol is all evaporated before you plug it back in.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I like those cans of "compressed air" that are actually extremely dangerous chloro-fluoro carbons. They expand rapidly and do a great job of dusting things. Just use them outside if you value not dying.
