Using Ducky Legend with OS X - Modifier Keys act strangely
« on: Wed, 17 December 2014, 17:34:15 »
Hello

I (literally) just got a Ducky Legend to replace my Mac keyboard. This thing is amazing!

One thing though; I am experiencing issues with modifier keys. I was able to swap the Command/Option (Win/Alt) keys using the Keyboard preference pane in OS X, and the keys work fine most of the time. But there is some confusing behavior, and I was wondering if anyone could help to figure it out.

When I use the command key as a modifier (for copy/paste, cmd-c, cmd-v, for example), it works fine. But if I use the same command key to (for example) command-click on a web link in Chrome (so that it opens in a new tab), it does not work.

Same thing with Option. Opt-f correctly types the character "ƒ", but when I use the option key to click on the desktop (a shortcut for hiding frontmost application), it does not work.

I have no idea how to fix this behavior. Any ideas?

Thank you.

It turns out that my old USB keyboard was still plugged in and the modifier keys were sticky, making my new keyboard act funny. The new legend keyboard has no USB plugs, what's up with that?
