Hello, keyboard enthusiasts. I've long enjoyed mechanical keyboards (and good keyboards of any type). I think the first one I tried was a Lexmark with a large DIN connector, or maybe the old AT keyboard with the F-keys down the side (awesome!).
I'm a computer programmer, and I play some games, mostly western Fantasy RPG style. I also play pen&paper RPGs and like fountain pens. I play music, though not as much as I used to. I was born in the early 70s and the first computer I owned was a CoCo II. It had a terrible keyboard that went SPROING! when you touched it.
So far I've accumulated a few keyboards I like:
Clicky:
IBM Model M 42H1292 (it is TOO a real model M!)
Unicomp Customizer (getting repaired. I spill way too much tea.)
Unicomp Linux 101
Das Keyboard Model S Professional (Cherry MX Blue)
Rosewill RK-9000 (Cherry MX Blue)
Non-Clicky:
IBM Model M 71G4644 rubber dome
IBM KB-8923 (underrated)
Some Key Tronic that are my favorite inexpensive keyboards
Now I need to go search and see how to make a cool signature with pics.
And today I come to you sitting on the fence over a Topre Type Heaven for my PC desktop and a Matias Tactile Pro for the Mac I do music on (I have a music keyboard with rubber transport controls, so no worries about a loud CLICK whenever I stop recording
