Greetings geekhack! I'm from London, I came across this forum in my quest for mechanical goodness, it seems
the roads lead here and after spending some time reading threads I made an account. Last night I read some
Clack Therapy and my bemusement gave way to "wants it" but with the remaining thought "this is ridiculous!".
I don't currently have a mechanical keyboard and haven't had much time with them so my experience level is next to zero. After getting a tester set of Cherry Red, Blue, Brown, Red I'm pretty sure I want to go with Brown for general use.
I use AutoCAD during the week, I play games all the time and due to both I'm not looking to go down the tenkeyless route right now, I think I need that numpad. Also I measure in millimetres & kilograms, I use A4 paper and
of course an ISO keyboard layout. That appears to be problematic for PBT keycap sets.
One day I'd like to make my own keyboard but the 104/105 key PCB options are... none?
Anyhow from what I’ve seen the community here seems cool and I’m glad I found it, and that awesome wiki.
