CHERRY MY 3000R on Polish auction site
« on: Thu, 22 January 2015, 06:01:12 »
Hello,
I just found some Cherry keyboards on allegro (Polish ebay :) )
at:
http://allegro.pl/klawiatura-cherry-my-3000r-ps2-i5011763229.html

They are
CHERRY MY 3000R - G81-3000lrnde to be exact;
I don't know if they are of any real interest, but I can help with buying then if anyone would be interested - price for keyboard is silly (1E ) shipping would be more expensive of course.

Cheers

Basically worthless, sorry. The 'L' means thin lasered caps. They're MX-compatible, but they're not very nice. The G81 means it has MY switches, which feel awful.

If they are lasered PBT there is still a tiny use for them - in dyejobs. So not totally worthless if you're in Poland and expect to get it for a few bucks with shipping.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Only the 1×1 keycaps, the Tab, Caps Lock and left Shift can be used on a keyboard with Cherry MX, and the Caps Lock on only a few of those.
The stabilised keys (2×1 or larger) are not compatible with Cherry MX and the keys on the bottom row have offset stems for some unknown reason ...

These keyboards in German layout are very common. If it had been (rare) Swedish/Swedish layout, or even Danish or Norwegian then I would have bought it straight away. (would have been my fifth G81 keycap donor, I think...)
