Is there a way to make a kb more solid?
« on: Wed, 11 February 2015, 13:21:22 »
I have an IBM Model M2, but I am really used to my CM Quickfire XT, I like the switches of the m2 but the cm feels really solid, it has a metal plate under it, but the ibm model m2 is a extremely light and thin buckling spring keyboard, since I dont travel too much with it, and if I did I would take my CM quickfire XT because it has a removable cable and it isnt ps2.

I was thinking of installing like a steel plate or something under the keyboard, or better rubber feet, what do you guys think and do you have any suggestions_

I have never opened the case of an M2, so I don't know what you might be able to squeeze in there, but there are always my keyboard mats!

Could always try fishing line weights inside the cases.

I don't think the keyboard would feel more solid with those mats from fohat.digs. Just a bit quieter and it wouldn't slide around.

It's been a while since I opened My M2 but I don't really remember seeing much, if any, room in it to say add weights or any kind of a plate etc.
