Harvesting Cherry Double Shots teach me :)

1.  What keyboards should I look for?
2.  Where should I look for them (ebay group buys  etc..)
3.  Where do I get the modset (there doesn't seem to be a group buy for missing/uncompatible keys)

Looking for keyboards with double shots that I will throw away the keyboard most likely and harvest those, sacred, beautiful double shots, what can you tell me?

To get a full doubleshots set for most modern keyboards you will need 2 keyboards from Cherry. Most common to find with white/black at low prices are G81-8000H**US and G80-8113H**US or G80-8200H**US. G81-7000H**US are also extremely common to find for cheap but require more patching in general.
Otherwise, any G80 or G81 board that has the end letter codes H**/H**** are fine...  more models than not adhere to the standard 101/104 style more or less so will be mostly useable. You can always supplement it with RGB/CMY or mods from EK if need be. In case you find something less than ordinary please make sure to check it's worth something more before you part it out and trash it.

Ivan, it would be awesome if we could just buy the WoB G81-8000 whatever, and have a GB on GH that supplied the rest of the WoB modifiers and what not

Indeed, and I will be doing that patch kit really soon... but it is still at least a few months off. So for the time being buying the 2 keyboards is the best way.

Nice, I will be sure to take part in that. I was wondering if GMK would be interested in running a simple WoB key set to keep the cost down. Is this possible/feasible? I always some back to WoB being one of my favorite key sets.

Great minds think alike! I look forward to it. I will literally get like 10 sets (maybe not that many), but as many as I can afford.
