Specific Keycaps I'm Looking for
« on: Fri, 20 March 2015, 15:30:55 »
As the title suggests, there is a set of keycaps that I would really like to have on my board.  There are some requirements this set must meet.

-SA Profile
-White with black legends
-Thick PBT
-Doubleshot

Does anyone else here seriously want a set like this?
Does anyone KNOW of an existing set like this, or would we have to do a group buy?
All hail Hall Effect keyboards!
I'm a QFR Blues noob.
WASD keycaps are terrible.

I don't think SP has the tooling for PBT doubleshot in SA profile. But I'm not sure. Can anyone answer that question for me? AFAIK, the only people doing doubleshot PBT at all is Vortex.

I'm not interested in this set.

I love SA. I don't really want anymore white on black colorways. I've got a ton of that already and it's boring to keep buying the same colors over and over.

Oh, that's why.  The only sets of keycaps I have are the stock ones on my QFR, and some custom ones I got in black and grey from WASD, which turned out to be terrible, because I bought them when I was a keyboard newbie.  But I don't have a white set.

Hey bludude4 there are some WoB keys on massdrop right now.  I think they are PBT.  Not SA though.  Good luck on your quest!

Signature Plastics (the company that makes keycaps in SA profile) cannot make a full set of double shot PBT keycaps at all. Their tooling is set up for ABS only, and they have no plans to change the tooling.

Besides, PBT is all hype anyway. #TeamABS

This.  Thick, quality ABS > most PBT.

You may find the Penumbra set with Solarized alphas to be to your liking. Not black and white, but rather deep blue and light cream, but it's a fantastic colourway that truly rocks in SA profile:

Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.
