I got a pok3r...
« on: Fri, 09 October 2015, 18:33:30 »
Hey guys/gals!

I got a pok3r while I'm waiting for all of the parts to arrive for the 60% that I will be building...

Anyway, it's my first time using Cherry Clears, and all I can say is WOW... They are so much stiffer than the Browns that I'm used to. Also, this little thing weighs just about as much as my DK4 does, and that's a full board. This little thing is very cool! I think I might even do a review on this thing (in the review section, of course), but there are a few comments I want to make. First off, in the review that RhinoFeed did (and I love his videos), the white version (which is the one I have) doesn't have the issue where the caps lock doesn't illuminate, because the white caps let a lot more light through. Also, the same goes for the spacebar, and the different layer LED colors. All of them shine through the keys, no problem. Also, I've seen around GH that several of the users here like to place their spacebars upside down, to get a more ergonomic angle from them. On my pok3r, that makes the spacebar stick when I press it down from the far right side. I don't think it's a stab issue, because as soon as I switched it around (to the proper orientation), the spacebar started behaving as I would expect it to.

That's about all I have to say for now, but it's time to play!!!

Joined the pok3r massdrop yesterday and I ordered clears. It'll probably be a little over a month before I get mine but I'm so excited! Glad you like yours!

I thought the same too when I first used stock clears - since I really only used lighter cherry switches. I'd say they're quite fatiguing at first, but once you get used to the switch and type without bottoming out, it's really quite nice. have fun!

I think I got mine in just under three weeks. (Today is the 19th day after I ordered it...)

Well, see... I would take a picture, but yesterday, my phone decided it wanted to s*** a brick, so I'm currently out of a phone, and my DSLR is a 3 hour drive away from my current house (It's at my mom's, and I just moved into this place...) I'll see what I can do about pictures tonight though. Maybe I'll scrounge up an old phone and take some pictures with that...

Well, I am actually bottoming them out right now, and I'm not feeling any fatigue. I think it's because I used to bottom browns out hard... I'm also a REALLY big guy, so I am pretty ham-fisted when it comes to stuff like this.
