Some unusual Cherry stabilizers

I stumbled across these a while back, but kept forgetting to take pictures of them. I haven't seen them anywhere else, so I decided to share them.
These are by far my favorite stabilizers. They're plate mounted and feel super solid and smooth. They don't have any of the wobble Cherry stabilizers normally have, they don't get mushy feeling like Cherry stabilizers sometimes do, they don't get crunchy and scratchy like Cherry stabilizers sometimes do when they get hit at an odd angle, and they don't fall out of the housing easily when the wire is removed. Overall they're just really solid feeling.
All that said, they sadly are not useable with any modern plate mounted boards. The housing for the stabilizer is a hair longer, so you can't use them without filing the opening larger. Even then, I'm not sure they'd line up properly. That doesn't stop my dream of someday getting a 60% board's worth of them and getting a custom plate for them.
Also, sorry for the occasional blur. I wanted to keep the ISO down since I have a now crappy D70 that doesn't do well at higher ISOs and I don't have a proper macro lens. So everything was shot with a 50mm prime and a close up filter.

Interesting that there's no housing around the stem.
On what kind of keyboard did you found those?

Are you talking about how the stem doesn't have a solid bit inside of it? It has to have that for it to pop into the housing. The housing you pop into the plate holds it in pretty securely and it take some wiggling and contortions to get the stem out. Normal Cherry stabilizers just let the stem slide out the bottom one the wire is popped out, this one holds it securely in place.
The keyboard it came from is from a Marquette Max-1 Interpretive Stress Test with Treadmill machine. I managed to snag the keyboard for cheap-ish on eBay. It also came with an MX Lock switch.

Was speaking about the last image an how the cross part of the stem isn't surrounded by plastic bits.
Very interesting read considering how cherry stabs aren't that great.
