Ducky Shine 4 White w/ Cherry MX Clear Thoughts
« on: Sat, 23 May 2015, 06:13:26 »
So today I picked up my Ducky Shine 4 White with Cherry MX Clears. Pretty hard to find the board within Australia but anyways.. It's a solid board. I quite like the feel of the clears. They seem somewhat softer to press compared to my V60 with Cherry MX Clears (not sure why that is). The dual LEDs is standard with any Ducky Shine 4 board. I think what really amazed me was the coating finish on the case of the board. The aluminum almost feels plastic which is the downside (not sure what type of coating they used). I plan to swap out the ABS keycaps with some engraved thick PBT keycaps. Have yet to play around with the board much. Might do a review on it later.

I wonder if anyone else has this board and what are your thoughts on the board?

There's very few keyboards with clears available in Australia.  Did you get yours here, or OS?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I got mine here. I've never had to import anything except for my Topre Realforce from Japan. Do you want one or are you just curious about where to get clear switches?
