Topre to MX converter?
« on: Thu, 11 June 2015, 13:21:22 »
Has anyone dabbled in creating such a thing?
I figure it probably isn't such a priority since MX has the greater cap variety, but i think those of stuck with topre artisans and no topre boards would find these to be a godsend.

Thanks for any input you may have.

Just to be clear you want to put a topre cap on an MX board right?

Nah, he wants to opposite. I think the only solution for you is to buy a topre keyboard ;)

yes, topre cap on mx.

I've managed to procure 3 clacks for topre (two of those traded for one of another color in mx and the 3d I currently am hoping to flip for an mx cc) to 1 mx.
Seems topre is easier to come by

I figured i would save myself some headaches by using said cap on mx somehow.

I HAVE looked at getting a topre board BUT:
The cost of the topre board +
The cost of two different colored topre key sets (red and orange) +
The cost of other key sets i might like

seems rather much to use an artisan ><'
and mind you, I haven't tried topre so I don't even know if I'd like it.

Topre boards are expensive its true, but the general consensus seems to be that the money is worth it. Beware the old saying "be careful what you wish for", if you do buy a Topre board for your artisans may find yourself giving your MX keyboards sidelong glances.
May all your key presses strike true.

eh, don't think so.
My current fave has tactile greys.
I don't think topre is anywhere near the same.
