Filco MJ2 left ctrl key sticking

The left control key on my Filco MJ2 brown is starting to get stuck every now and then. Everytime i take out the keycap, i see two lines of residue on the case right below the keycap. Looks like the keycap might be grinding against the case. I cleaned out the residue before but it's happening again. Anyone else had this problem?

Some people actually sand off the end thats rubbing on the case. Personally ive never run into that issue but you can try that.

A lot of people report aftermarket keycap sets rubbing against the Filco case.  First I've heard of the stock keycaps rubbing (if these are the stock ones you have).

Seems like the Filco case might need a bit of fine-tuning.

I switched the left ctrl key with the right one while cleaning out the keycaps, no problems since then.

It might be worth taking both Ctrl keys off and seeing if they are identical.  Generally Ctrl keys are, but maybe one of yours has a slightly mis-positioned stem.

Can't really tell the difference between the two keycaps. Been using this at work so it gets kind of dusty here so the plastic cover goes on everynight.

Thought it was maybe combination of dust and humidity which caused the build up in the corner.

Planning on replacing the whole set with Leopold's new dye-subs.

I checked the stems too, both looked similar. As long as the problem is not the switch itself because the keyboard is farely new.

I checked the stems too, both looked similar. As long as the problem is not the switch itself because the keyboard is farely new.

If one keycap sticks and the other doesn't, the problem is most likely with one of the keycaps.
