Hey all.
I've been around for a couple months now, you may know me from hasu's 60% alps pcb gb and the related group buys around it.
My introduction to mechanical keyboards came just a few months ago. I'd heard of r/mk, and had a super basic knowledge of mechanical keyboards. For the longest time I was perfectly happy with my wireless Apple aluminum board, and thought you all were just a bunch of wonks.
Then, a few months ago at work, while combing through our graveyard, I came across a new in box Apple Extended II. Being an Apple wonk, I was familiar with the board's reputation, and I immediately started using it as my board at work - I quickly fell in love and decided I absolutely needed a mech at home.
So began the search for the perfect board (endgame, yeah right). I played around with a few cherry board but couldn't find anything I loved. In my search for a board, I discovered this lovely forum.
What got me to register was hasu's pcb. That board is in progress, although it'll be a while before my case from me ships.
Anyway, I'm glad to be here, I'm excited to be part of the community, but I'm not excited for how much being here is going to hurt my wallet.
You guys rock.
