BT4.0 for HHKB

After my mac went down. I started to using iPad for coding and find out it surprisingly enjoyable


After doing some research, I found out HHKB2 and a BT alt board made by hasu. It would let me coding on iPad without usb cable(original controller in HHKB need usb hub to give HHKB extra power to make HHKB work with iPad )

it's almost perfect for me except relatively short battery life(my apple bt keyboard can last for half a month) and lacking multi-connection function(I do love using a key combination to switch among Mac iPhone and iPad).

And the BT module in Varmilo VB87M Bluetooth seems to be a better BT4.0(Nordic's nRF51822 BLE 4.0).

So I'm wondering anyone else may be interested in requesting hasu improve his design and buying one when it is available?

I'd happily pony up for advanced Bluetooth in my HHKB, just to 1) cut out a cord where it isn't needed and 2) let me use it with multiple devices.

I suspect, though, that the HHKB just requires more power to function, which might mean we have to live with battery life measured in hours or days instead of months.

Agree! Charge once a day is accepable. I find out the way apple bt keyboard achieve that by 2-4 1800mha AA batteries
