[IC] Beamsprings!
« on: Tue, 28 July 2015, 14:10:28 »
I put up an ad a long time ago saying I was looking for old IBM keyboards. I got contacted yesterday by a company that has at the very least 3x beamsprings like this :

They only mentioned that one, as that's the only one they've seen recently in the warehouse. However, they're sure they have plenty more, but they need part numbers to look for them. That's where I need your help!

I currently have :

7361073
1742705
7362149
5641316
4942001
1742714
1742700

Does anyone have any others?

Would anyone here be interested in some beamsprings? I'm not sure of the condition and I'm not sure of the price. I'm guessing probably not pristine, and probably not as low as Cindy's prices!

Please post here what kind you would be interested in and how much you'd be willing to pay, just so that I have an idea.

Interested if the price is right. I want to convert something with the new beamspring controller I got.
Shipping to Canada would be a pain but I might be able to deal with it if the board is sub $300.

I'm interested.

but...

if these suddenly showing up is related to the set suddenly disappearing from underneath Cindy, then I couldn't do it.  Not saying that's what happened, but I'm just weary of any metal ibm boards that pop up in the near future.

Well, I was contacted by what seems to be a fairly large company that sells a whole variety of parts, so I doubt they were the ones who snatched those keyboards from Cindy.

Sounds good then.  Apologies for paranoia.

Count me as interested.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done
