Hello all,
I got into mechanical keyboards not long ago. I spent quite sometime reading up on them before I made my first purchase. Afterall, I wanted a solid keyboard to accompany on my journey through the wasteland on Fallout 4! So I completed my first PC build, and kept browsing for a mechanical keyboard to adorn my desk. I ended up finding a Leopold FC660m with clears on /r/MechMarket, and popped on it. It was everything I wanted: solid, quiet, and the keys are a bit stiff to press. Since then I've picked up a CM Storm switch tester which made me realize that the clicky switches were actually nice. Previously I thought they'd be too loud, and they are too loud for working in the library or office in my opinion, but I decided I wanted a more standard layout with greens in my home. I browsed a discount store I enjoy browsing once or twice weekly when I noticed they had some mechanical keyboards in stock. That's when I picked up my CM Stealth with greens.
In the meantime, I managed to get a set of the Coffee keys from KeyPop and have found a smattering of HKP artisans. I'd love to pick up a Bro or Clack, but I know how difficult they are to purchase. My grail keys are probably the Oktoberfest and Drunk Skull keys.
Anyway, I snapped a few photos of my boards while my roommates were at practice. Probably should've waited for a sunnier day, but the coffee and some artisan keycaps just arrived today and I got them all mounted on my board, so I couldn't wait.
