These use Acer switches with an Alps mount, not actually Alps switches. Acer switches are hammers over membrane, NOT electromechanical like Alps switches are. They are one of the strangest switches I've ever tried, I've yet to find anything that feels like them. See my review on this keyboard (albeit a different case design) here:
