B.face case on a Pure?
« on: Tue, 27 October 2015, 16:41:24 »
I wondering if maybe I could buy a Winkeyless B.face case and slap it on a KBT Pure? I wanted to mod my pure so I thought this might be the coolest way if it works. I don't want to buy something to find that it doesn't fit ^^

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I guess you mostly concern about the fitting of the 1.75 Right Shift, looking at the PCB it supports 1.75 RShift. Also if this case really is from winkeyless then your pure should be ok.

Thanks for the confirmation. I was also wondering if I would have to desolder any switches to install the case since it uses a plate. Shouldn't be problem if I have to but it would be nice to know beforehand.

You will not be able to use the plate of the pure, you'll have to desolder the switches and use the plate of B.face which is also the top part of the the case.

My first generation Pure is pcb mounted, no plate. But either way if you have to do some desoldering to take out the LEDs

Well if it's just desoldering a couple LEDs then that would be easier. Thanks for the help.
