Realforce 87u issues
« on: Fri, 20 November 2015, 12:11:12 »
So I just got an 87u in the mail today as a gift and I'm having some key issues - almost every key on the right side of the board is coded wrong. The I is a 5, the j is a 4, etc etc. A couple are right but most are incorrect.

Is there a way I can fix this? Or do I have to send it back?

Check and see if any of the switches on the back are flipped. I think that is the default layout when dip-switch #3 is on? I may be mistaken.

That's the first thing I checked. All the dip switches are off. Unless I have to turn them on to disable? I'm really not sure.

That was right! The dip switch actually has to be on to disable (kind of weird but whatever). Should have checked both first. Thank you!

Did you get it working properly!?

This is probably the first time I have ever been able to help someone on here haha so thank you!

I believe that that is the built-in numpad, toggled with scroll lock.

Seems the issue was already solved. Just wanted to add that if you look at the front of some of the keys on your 87U, such as U, I, O, J, K, L, you will see numbers on them. When you press the NumLock key, those keys become a numeric keypad right in the middle of your keyboard.
