I love it......., what is it's practical uses though.. I mean maybe large high current stuff where you need a high thermal capacity iron,  i've used a blowtorch for large wire soldering when redoing a wiring harness for an electric forklift :p.

Citizens United violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president.
So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over.”

What is the size of PCB that requires a soldering iron like that?

10 meters by 10 meters?

My guess is that this would be a masochist's buttplug soldering iron for sheet metal. I guess it's handy when doing soldering work on roofs

It looks like a Hexacon 500 watt soldering iron,  i think they are mainly used for as mentioned sheet metal and copper fixtures, stuff like old style gutters.

You mean a standard housing power outlet can supply enough electricity to heat and melt metal?

I know a few people that use monsters like this for there everyday soldering tasks.... well maybe not this big, but they are large 300 watt american beauty soldering irons that are still massive.  And im here wanting to get something small like the SEED mini 65 watt soldering iron that's on massdrop ebcause i dont like the space my hakko takes up, even though i love it.
