Hello all!
I have been lurking around the forums every so often doing research and all.
Last year in April, I purchased my first mechanical keyboard, a Ducky Shine 4 (Red Switches). The keyboard has been great but as of about 3 months ago, I will notice an issue with some keys where there is sometimes keybounce or no response.
Last night, I did a test of the D Key on notepad where I press the key followed by Enter and repeat. It showed the problem frequently (20 times showed: 3 Blanks, 5 Double Clicks, 12 Normal). Today, however, the blanks are not happening, and the doubles are much less frequent (50 times showed only 2 doubles). I then went to a NKRO Keyboard Test, held down the D key and lightly move a finger along the key itself. The interface will randomly begin blinking on the D key. The A key did this as well but not as often. I did it on a few other keys but it seems most common on those two. This is extremely apparent when typing in passwords where it will miss a key or ddouble press it (Leaving that mistake as an example).
My assumption is either the switch is faulty (most likely?) or the welds are failing. I don't want to take apart the keyboard to void the warranty though.
Should I send this back for RMA? Still have 3 months on the warranty.
Thanks!
