Hello!
« on: Sun, 14 February 2016, 23:01:00 »
I'm Ephruz. I like computer hardware and stuff. I lurk a lot of places where people share and discuss mechanical keyboards, up to the point where I have questions. Then I ask questions.

Hope I'll be on here as much as I was without an account.

I've used:

Razer Blackwidow Tournament Stealh
Corsair K70 MX Red
Logitech G710+ MX Brown
Deck Francium Pro 87 MX Brown
Corsair Strafe RGB MX Silent

Currently using nothing because I just moved and the desktop isn't out yet. I also sold my most recent keyboard and am expecting a delievery of a QFR with MX Browns.

EDIT: What pushed me over the edge of joining is seeing the massive amount of awesome group buys I missed.

Welcome to Geekhack!

The first thing I setup when I move (home or office) is my PC.  There was this one time I was sharing a room in a new office with one of the accountants, and we were both moved in, setup and typing, and everyone else was still carrying boxes around :))

Do you still have all those keyboards (except the most recent one you sold)?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Group buys are definitely something you can hop on, there's always great buys and you'll always get what you want if you have the patience.

I guess you like lighter switches then?

Are you planning on joining any GBs that are coming up, maybe some new caps for the QFR?
