Rapid-i vs Leopold vs ITG
« on: Mon, 14 March 2016, 03:22:57 »
Hi guys, other question :D
I`m still undecided if buy a leopold 750r from korea at about 180-200 euro or something else. On amazon.it I see an offer for quickfire rapid-i (100 euros) and a qfk rapid at 94 euros.
I know that the difference about quality of keycaps (PBTvsABS) is huge, but the other things?
is it justified the price difference? Can I change thekeycaps easy with a PBT set on rapid/rapid-i?
---
I`m a ITG/stepmania player (
).
Do u think is too stressful for this keyboard? Should I buy a numpad or something like that only with arrows (exist?)

I'm guessing you've probably heard stories about osu players who changed their keybinds every two weeks because "muh wear" "muh freshness" and so on. Pretty sure even some top player did that at some point(rrtyui maybe? I remember reading about it in Japanese). Sure, they won't last a decade, but they're tougher than you think, and you could always solder in new ones anyway.

CMStorm is a very good brand, and I think you may be able to get the Rapid(maybe even Rapid-I) and Leopold keycaps for around the same or less than the 750R.

Also, am I right in guessing you play sprindex? You mention arrow keys, and the chart in the video you've linked looks like a pad chart(but then again I mainly play BMS so I'm not used to upscroll and only 4 lanes, and I'm not even actively playing at the moment).

I`m playing this:
The app name is "In The Groove2"...and I play with arrows
I think tomorrow I take a Novatouch (120 euro). And maybe I`ll take PBT keycaps if I find a great offer.

Imo topre blows for games the require rapid keystrokes. When I tried them for Osu it was not pleasant. I would honestly say to avoid a topre board completely if you are going down this route.

If you are considering a QFR-i just skip it and go for a QFR.  Still far too many people complaining about dead LED's on those to bother paying the premium over the QFR IMO.

Yes, infact I would like to find a QFR, but now is out of stock everywhere...=(

I talking with Varmilo shop...maybe I can import one, instead of leopold.
