I started looking into IMSTO's japanese key caps because... they look cool, but when I saw them in other pictures than the one I saw first, they didn't have the same color. This is the kind of color i'm looking for, some very warm beige, almost like white chocolate. I also want to buy key caps that have most of the universal keys (i.e a-z and modifiers) be from the japanese layout, and the region-specific ones (1-9 and all the symbols) be nordic/swedish. So far I've just thought I should buy one of each and mix-match, but that hinges on the fact that both layouts have the same color for the legends, something imsto doesn't appear to do...

Anybody know what I should do?

First, the color of the picture you referred to appears to be off white balance; if so, the cream color is just a light effect and they are in fact regular ~L9 beige. Do you have the code or brand of the board in the picture?

Welcome to Geekhack!

I could be wrong, but everything in that photo looks like it has a slight orange tint to it, such as might result from an orange lamp shade.

Perhaps if you created a thread in the keyboards section you might get a few more replies - not everyone checks the new members area.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yes, those are japanese HiPro Topre keys, from a GH60, I think it was. I'll repost this in the keyboards section, thanks!

The white balance is off in that picture, hence the yellow tone that it has. Here is a white balance corrected version

I cant help with this, you may have to buy two sets and mix them together

Wait wut? Hipro keys from a GH60?! Pics or it never happened! Either way, those look off white to me. They probably used a fluorescent light source or something similar

Welcome :D
