Majestouch: Odd Caps Lock Behavior

I was sitting here browsing the web and my dog, who was trying to get my attention, came up and put his paw on my keyboard which caused a bunch of keys to be pressed. Fast forward to about 30 seconds later and I'm typing a phrase into Google, what i notice is that the characters are coming out in caps. Normally this isn't very strange except for the fact that caps lock is off (LED is not lit). Just for kicks I turned my caps lock on (LED lit) and I can all of a sudden type in lowercase again. Basically my caps lock key was functioning in "reverse" so to speak. A reboot fixed it and everything is back to normal now but, I would like to know what caused it or if anyone has seen this before. Any input is greatly appreciated.

OK I gave him a treat and he told me this.

Keyboards send make codes on the down stroke and break codes on the up stroke.   Sometimes you can fool the controller with rapid key presses and a key gets "stuck".  Usually a press or two of the key will unstick it.

Or drool caused it.

The "make codes" explanation makes sense (especially since my dog isn't a drooler lol). Thanks again Ripster! Oh and I'll be sure to pass along the message to my dog. Although, he might take those as "fightin' words" with him being a Doberman and all. :p

Nah yours would probably win. Little dogs freak out the Doberman. My buddy has an English Bulldog that he brings over from time to time and my Doberman will do whatever he has to to stay as far away from the bulldog as possible. It's actually a really funny thing to see.
