Hola from San Antonio

Howdy Ya'll!  :D

Long time lurker here.  I've been using a CM storm tenkeyless with cherry greens as my daily driver for about 3 years now.  Before that I used a 20 year old Dell at101.

Finally decided to make an account here because I've been thinking about modding the at101 with matias clicky switches and a teensy.  Also I just picked up a model f Bigfoot (model 4176191) and I'd like to try and get it working over usb.

Welcome to Geekhack!

What a wonderful keyboard collection you already have :)

Until this morning I was using my QFS with MX greens, but the light clicking was irking me so I switched to one of my SSKs.

If you do go ahead with the at101 mod, feel free to create a build log thread in making stuff together.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Lol.  I'm completely surprised at how much less popular greens are than certain other cherry switches.  I've tried blues, reds, browns, and blacks and they all felt so unsatisfying.  It seems like everyone else likes they're switches so light you can't even feel them.

Yeah I've already got the at101 and the bigfoot disassembled so I'll probably take some pics and post them up later tonight.

That'd be great! :)
