Custom 60% Design Idea

Hey, so I think I'm posting this in the right spot.

Anyway, I have gotten it in my head that I need to make a custom keyboard. Probably not the best idea I've had, but then again definitely not the worst one either...

Sorry. Getting to the point. I just wanted to post the initial design idea I had for layout and colors and such. Please share with me any thoughts or criticisms or suggestions you might have. Or just share your support.

Is resizing the right modifier column by a half a unit worth the pain of trying to find keycaps for it?

I thought about that, and it may end up not being worth the hassle, but the only one that would be hard is the delete key. All the others have standard key available.

And even though it is only 0.5 key size down I think it helps make the right side look less stretched out. But once I start looking into plates and cases then it might be more of a pain than it is worth.

I think the symmetry looks much better than existing 5x15 layouts. However, that 6.0 spacebar and the 1.50 Backspace will be hard to find, and won't be in most any keycap sets.

So, interesting, but probably not doable for more than a single hard-wired keyboard with DSA 'caps.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if I was improving the look or just being insane with that right side shrink. I'm glad to know that there is someone else who thinks it looks good. 
I have seen the elusive 6.0 spacebar around but the 1.5 backspace is going to be like Nessy. I could always settle for using a row 3 1.5, at least for prototyping...

I'm a bit lost though, if you could help me, what are DSA caps?

What is granite? I know the HHKB but not familiar with child deals or granite. If you could explain what that means I'd be ever so grateful.

Did I completely loose it or does this layout make any kind of sense (if even just a little)?

The blue would be layer 2 via meta key.

Please tell me if there is any part that is "you're crazy, stop it!" or if there are things I'm not thinking about/forgot about and should try to include.
