Universal TKL Plate (Kul ES)
« on: Tue, 16 February 2016, 09:36:24 »
Hey folks,

I saw that there was a limited time run for the TKL universal plate which allowed switch manipulation on plate mounted boards. This would be killer to apply to my KUL ES-87 and at the $30 something price point, something I could realistically afford.

Are they available anywhere anymore?

I'm interested in this as well. I've been trying to flex my google muscles, but everything I've found has either passed or is expired. I tried looking at some classified sections, but I haven't had much luck. Is there something I'm missing? or is this just absolutely not available anymore?

Helvetica, the KUL pcb is excellent and can withstand multiple solder jobs. I've already desoldered all the switches 2x and plan on one more. Just so you know... in case you want to modify switches.

I will run a GB for my universal ANSI plate soon. It supports full size 108/104 and TKL 87, and is compatible with Filcos, Leopolds, KUL, etc.

I should have mentioned that I already have a Filco Majestouch 2 TKL! Unfortunately every TKL plate I've found online doesn't have the required cutout for the Filco controller. The only ones I've seen with this are from the the GB's and they've all expired since maybe 2 years ago. :(

Ahh, that's great! I don't want to seem like in a hurry, but when is soon? Do you have any details you can share? This is probably one of the most exciting news I've heard this week.

Probably beginning of May. I want to run another GH keycap buy in April, since I didn't do one in March. I don't like to have more than one buy taking orders at once, so I should wait until May to run the Universal Plate buy. Then in June I will pick up the GH keycap buy again.
