anniversary gift (help needed)
« on: Mon, 25 April 2016, 18:44:24 »
Hi Everyone,

My husband is software engineer, and he is obsessed with customized keyboards. Recently he starts thinking about building keyboards as a hobby. I want to buy him a gift for our upcoming 5-year anniversary, something like a tool kit for him to get this started.  Any suggestions will be appreciated. Ideally price could range from $50-$300.

Thank you!! :) :)

Hello, sounds like a great idea.  You can buy a lot of keyboard parts, such as cases, printed circuit boards, switches, etc at this website here:

Thanks, but he already has several whitefox keyboards. He is thinking about building keyboards from scratch. Do you know what kind of tool is needed?

Tools? A soldering iron and a screwdriver. Other than soldering, you're basically just assembling parts.
