Hello Dears
« on: Fri, 24 June 2016, 13:27:50 »
Just thought I'd introduce myself real quick; I've recently gotten into mechanical keyboards in the past year and I am not looking back. Started off on Massdrop and have been lurking Geekhack ever since. Currently awaiting my Hana set from Massdrop along with some WoB keycaps, meanwhile I currently use the following:

Ducky Shine 4 (Work)
Varmilo VA87MR (Daily)
Noppoo Choc Mini 84 (Twitch)

My dream is to some day get my hands on the Skull Squadron and Danger Zone keycaps. Maybe that Evangelion set too.

Uh... Well... I guess that's it for now.

Cheers!

What switches do you use in those boards?

Any future interest in Buckling springs or Topre?

Thank you!

My ducky shine 4 comes in cherry mx blues, the varmilo in gateron blues and the noppoo has gateron browns. I've actually been quite interested in trying out both buckling spring keys and topre switches for a while now.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Nice collection of keyboards you've started :)

If you collect a few more posts (25) (you already have the time requirement) you can create a WTB thread in classifieds, which might be the best bet for getting hold of those particular keycap sets.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Awesome keyboards thus far. How do you like the gathering blues compared to the cherry blues?
