Introducing myself

Yellow mellow!

I'll introduce myself. My name is Turbodruk, and have been lurking the communities (dt, r/mk, gh) for a long time now and decided today I also signed up for Geekhack.
Little history on the keyboards I've had in the past few years;

Corsair K60 with MX-Reds -died on me, I'm actually happy this happened because this made me look more and more for mechanical keyboards
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 with MX-Blues
CMStorm Quickfire Rapid-I with MX-Browns
Also had a Keycool 22-key numpad white with Kailh blue's
Currently typing on a Ducky Mini Year of the Horse with MX-Blues, ISO DE layout.

I've had the Danger Zone SA keyset with numpad and novelties.

A week ago I bought a Filco Minila white edition with MX-Blues from Taobao that is currently in shipping now.
Bought the Bluegaloo modifier set and bought a JTK Stormtrooper from another user on r/mk
Two sets of 7bits round 6 SA keycaps are also ordered :)

So lots of things happened in a few short years. My absolute dream will be having an IBM Model M built on 7 March 1994 (the day I was born), it's for sale on clickykeyboards.com but I can't justify the shipping just yet. Also wanting to build my very own keyboard soon, but haven't studied enough material to really convince myself to buy a kit.

Thank you very much. And yeah, that thing is a beauty, really. I also have a Ducky Mini YOTH with MX-Blues, but compared to the Minila it feels mushy.(?)

That's a great collection of keyboards!  I'm guessing you like MX blue switches ;)

And are in Germany?  There's quite a few German members lurking around here.  Might be time for a meetup ...

Thank you! I am indeed fan of the MX Blues, they feel so much more satisfying then linear switches (imo).
I live in Germany, but I am Dutch. I live on the Dutch/German border, so my German is meh.  ^-^

A German meet-up would be supertöll haha.

I've heard that Filco uses better batches of Cherry switches.
Does round 6 have the right caps to cover that unique layout?

Round 6 had some individual keycaps like blank 2u row 2/4, stepped 1.75u ctrl row 3 and I bought some 1u backspace from R5 leftovers. Oh and also a SA 3u spacebar in blue was also for sale in Round 6.

MX greens are nice :)  And buckling springs ... and Topre ... and ...

Welcome to Geekhack! As Rowdy said, greens are nice. I prefer heavier switches myself and just wanna ask if you have tried heavier switches like green. You also said you didn't like linears but have you tried tactiles? I mean browns or clears.

Mx-Greens I really like to try out, but they're hard to find on keyboards that I like. I've typed on a Pok3r with clears but I really couldn't get a good picture of it because I only typed some minutes on it.

Greens and clears are the harder ones to find when it comes to Cherry switches. I would say that if you love blues clears might be too heavy, but perhaps greens won't. You really need to try them out and see for yourself. You could also look into Gaterons and maybe Zealios or similar "clones" (in most cases people say they are better than cherry) as they are supposed to be better and "smoother" but, I can't say that from experience. You could also look into making your own keyboard as that allows you to choose the exact switches you want and program it.

Kinda stinks that only can only get the Ergodox EZ in Gateron Greens. I've seen quite a few Cherry MX Green keyboards for sale on Amazon, Ebay, and Mechanicalkeyboards.com, but those Gateron Greens are an elusive bunch of switches (maybe Massdrop? /shrug). Welcome :)

It took me a while to find a keyboard with MX greens.  I ended up with a secondhand Quickfire stealth (which I still have and still regularly use in rotation with my other keyboards).
