Has anyone heard of a 6 PIN DIN AT connector?
« on: Sun, 26 June 2016, 12:45:16 »
Someone is selling NIB BTC 5100C keyboards on ebay but they use a 6 pin DIN connector.  I thought AT was 5 pin no?

edit: It looks pretty fat so that's why it looks "AT" to me.

There are lots of DIN connectors such as MIDI. That center pin could cause a physical problem just plugging it in, even if the electrics were correct on the 4 that are actually active (or 5, in the case of that "refresh" or whatever it is on some XTs).

Thanks for the feedback.  I've been eyeing these for a while but heard from more than one source that the AT model has a better feel than the PS/2.

Didn't the "Apple Desktop Bus" use 6-pin connectors?  Is this an old apple keyboard, specifically?

ADB has 4 live pins and a plastic pin that is electrically dead.
