Polishing completed keycaps

So I've now certainly been through the casting process a good number of times.

One thing I've learned is that gradually the silicone molds, and the resin exterior surface loses it's shine and slowly but surely the mold dulls and faults begin to appear.

After some lengthy research this appears normal, the resin is actually slightly caustic and so gradually deteriorates the inside of the mold, fine, the caps will just need some finishing.

Now for the bases, sanding starting at low to high grit W&D works wonders, but for the caps themselves I need to keep things very very smooth indeed.

Even using very high W&D there is some hazing and so I wondered what others do for their epoxy finishing?

I have some Novus 1-2-3 coming which appears to have some good results online for other epoxy applications. Anybody use this? Anybody use a dremel / buffing wheel with an alternative compound?

Happy to hear experiences from other makers.

Thanks
