Hello from sunny Florida
« on: Fri, 23 September 2016, 02:03:53 »
So I found this place a while back when searching for a good "starter" mech board.  Ended up getting a Shine 3 with MX Reds and loved it.  I've been getting the itch to try something different lately and I'm looking into some 60% boards at the moment.  Still not sure which way I'm going to go with it.  All I know is it will be a 60% board (maybe something where I can program a NUM pad into a layer).
I'm also very intrigued by the whole artisan keycap side of things and have spent countless hours just browsing through all the threads over at the "Let's make something together" section.  Who knows; maybe I'll by some materials and have a go at this whole sculpting/molding/casting thing.
Ok... that's it for now.

Welcome to GeekHack!

Lots of programmable 60% PCBs out there; off the top my head there's the GH60, B.face X2, FaceW, and NerD 60.

Heppy Keyboarding! :thumb:

Thank you good Sr.  I will definitely check out the examples you mentioned.  And DIY is right up my alley so even better.

Welcome :)

What do you think of a keyboard with a few 120 fans that blow air up from underneath the keyboard?

I'm getting this strange feeling that I may know you from another forum.  Are you a fellow OCFer?   I ask because only someone from OCF would know my addiction to crazy computer fans and everything related to extreme cooling.  ;)

Lord, I wish I was a OCFer! The idea just popped into my head, I guess your presence emanates custom pc case fan ideas :))

I tend to bring the best (or is it scariest) out of people.  ;)
For those that don't know:  OCF -> Overclockers forum.  We like to abuse the living snot out of computer hardware to make it go faster (think CPUs running at 8GHz while being cooled to -200°C with liquid Nitrogen).
