Hello everyone!
We all know the most common clicky MX switch is the proclaimed Blues. It's an okay clicky switch, with a decent unique sound. I still prefer White Alps. But has people forgotten about the soft-click Whites?
It's a somewhat quiet switch that is louder than a rubber dome or a Topre, but quieter than a Blue or Buckling Spring. They are great switches with a VERY tactile bump and a distinct click and ping sound. The current force is 80 grams, and it's not that bad. The tactility is very noticeable and ironically even more tactile than the tactile reds-with-dirt/Browns. I don't have a Clear yet so I can't confirm if the switch is better. I find myself not bottom out while playing around with this switch. (I only own a loose switch at the moment so...) 
Back to the topic, is there anybody that like these switches? They're not nearly as common as say... a Blue but can be gotten from WSAD keyboards and Ducky.

I use them on my keyboard and like them a lot more than the linear switches. Milks rule.

The problem with whites is inconsistent clicks.

They weren't too bad for clicky switches.

That's what I was afraid of. I've heard about the inconsistent clicks on the /r/MechanicalKeyboards forum but is it that bad to the point where they're unusable?

That's what I was afraid of. I've heard about the inconsistent clicks on the /r/MechanicalKeyboards forum but is it that bad to the point where they're unusable?
Well all the switches on a board with whites usually function they just don't always click the same or sometimes they've lost their click entirely.

I love White Alps because it has that Alps feel with that slight higher pitched click. Blue Alps sound too bassy and thick for me.

I like them, they are probably my favorite clicky switch but you just can't  buy them stock on any board as they are so inconsistent. I've been wanting to buy a couple hundred to get a good selection to work with and cherry pick out a boards worth.

I hate the sound of greens, blues are okay, cant remember my favorite alps clicky switch.

same weight, similar feel, much louder. I used greens on my first KMAC LE and it was quite nice actually. Basically cherry switch for IBM lovers. When I build up an MX white KB (my Skeldon I believe) I separated the switches by sound into no less than 7 categories and installed them on the KB based on that. It was a lot more regular using preselected switches but still inconsistent. I switched to clears later, which was a lot nicer that way.

you can see some differences between whites and blues in this comparison I made. There was some debate at the time as to the physical differences between them

theres a few boards on mechanicalkeyboards [dot] com that have mx whites stock.. in the ~$100 USD range

plus you can buy loose plate mount whites from them ... if you were to want to buy a couple hundred of them theyd be like $50 per 100..

(don't work for them... just was recently shopping for recently there for Greens and considered getting whites)

Very interesting... !

I have a Ducky One TKL with whites. There are inconsistencies between some keys, but it doesn't bother me too much. I think greens would probably be a winner for me... I actually like the clicky noise...  :confused: Haha
